EPEC (Education in Palliative and End-of-life Care) – Pediatrics: Funded from 2010-2017 by a US$ 1.6 million grant of the US National Institute of Health/National Cancer Institute, EPEC-Pediatrics has now developed into the most comprehensive pediatric palliative care (PPC) curriculum world-wide. The interactive contents of the curriculum are designed to address the needs of children with cancer and other serious illness, their families, and their pediatric clinicians. Dr. Stefan Friedrichsdorf (Principal Investigator), Dr. Joanne Wolfe, Stacy Remke, LiCSW, Dr. Joshua Hauser, and Dr. Justin Baker lead this initiative and collaborate with a team of 35 national and international leaders in the field of pediatric pain medicine and palliative care.
